Nice Bons began when I noticed there was a gap in the market for quality Christmas bon bons with items that would last rather than be thrown straight in the bin. I am a bit sentimental when it comes to Christmas, keeping every trinket and handmade item that holds memories. So I had a thought, wouldn't it be nice if there were Christmas bon bons with items that you could actually keep and use after Christmas.

 

I started brainstorming all the things that I would keep and realised a theme was starting to arise. Specifically coastal-themed items that embody the essence of our life on the coast. So Nice Bons (bon bon/crackers) was born. Each item is carefully chosen, turning this single use product into something you can keep as a reminder of the celebration long after the festivities have ended.

Then Christmas ended and I thought why not extend this Australian tradition to other celebrations. Everyone loves the suspense, the game of tug-o-war and the surprise when the bon bon bangs to release a special gift inside. As a mum myself, I understand that planning a birthday celebration can be stressful, thinking of a theme, researching and sourcing all the items, especially with busy everyday life.  ​
